The Faithfullness of God (A poem)

Have you ever thought about the splendour of creation?
The vastness of the universe that stretches beyond our gaze?
The thousand miles a salmon swims from spawning?
The graceful decent the leaf embarks in the gusty autumn days?
The swirl and flurry in the moonlights silver shiver
Of winters unblemished virgin snow?
Before the stars were infant in their twinkling
Our Faithful father spoke and it was so.

Have you ever thought about God's covenant with Noah?
When you see a rainbow cross a valley midst the rain.
Faithful to his promise that he will never
Flood this hopeless, faithless, wicked world again.
Or think about the promise made to Abraham
That he would have children more than all the sands beneath the sun.
The cross is the way God kept his promise
Where our Faithful Father spared not his only Son.

Have you ever thought about the beauty of Salvation
God's law requires death for all who sin
We inherit our sinful nature at birth from Adam
Which is why we must be Born Again.
So if we repent and put our trust in Jesus
His blood cleans our sin stained hearts as white as snow
Before the world began, up there in Heaven
Our Faithful Father spoke and it was so.
